A great example of how good a young Independent bottling can be. This little 8 year old punches well above its weight. It's matured in classic American oak barrels, which gives it that nice chewy honeycomb, creamy caramel, and wonderful vanilla notes. Although, it's labeled as an 8-year old, there is plenty of older whisky in this bottling. It's evident with its soft and creamy nature, minus that youthful punch that can sometimes seem harsh. At such a cheap price, it's definitely worth a crack.
